Brolly sleeve

Umbrellas are kept in good condition if wrapped up in their protective sleeves. However once you’re outside and it’s pelting it down all you care about is opening up that shealed

of protection, forgetting to bother about that little sleeve as it pops, so left discarded and ending up a little litter bug on rainy days. Worse still is on windy days and finding umbrellas stuck in rubbish bins having opened themselves inside out and coming instantly useless.

  Recently I came across this fridge magnet belong to a couples personal horde which was being taken away as rubbish which I recorded back in 2021. There were many items including love letters, photos and tickets. A box of mementoes and sadly the couple must have broken up during Covid. All I have left is their fridge magnet a memory of a visit to Lanzarote. Many couples broke up during Covid as they could not bare being locked up together amongst other problems. I did not feel it was right to keep their memories as it was too personal and sad.

‘ L aughing G as’ canisters found in city Found two of these metal bottle shaped canisters not far from the city. They’re laughing gas or hippy crack as they contain nitrous oxide. If inhaled could be fatal. They’re meant to be used by the medical profession to numb the pain of patients. Artists Gilbert and George’s exhibition in London 2014 bought these to my attention as they feature a lot round where they live in Whitechapel, East London.
