Dobble cards

Image
Dobble is a card game that is currently offered with every McDonald’s Happy Meal purchase. I’ve only come across a single card from the complete pack of card set. This is excellent progress for the fast food giant as these meals used to contain plastic toys but now choose to go down the ethical path in our threatened global warming future.

plastic bags still not being recycled

Image
The people who bought these items also purchased a carrier bag for 10p. They must have too much money or too little sense as these can be recycled into shopping bags. The only down side is it’s using more plastic. These used to be free but now you have to buy them but a lot of people are still undeterred from not buying these unethical items.

Clowns

Image
This rubbery piece of plastic was once a broach as revealed on the flip side. Not quite sure what it actually is but let’s have a go; possibly a dead clown carrying a relation of Big Bird, star from the American's kids show Sesame Street.

Summer Holiday Planner

Image
By the looks of this timetable someone's planning their weeks holiday from the food they aim to eat to the exercise and days out. Also it includes this food diary too.

Dead Sparrow

Image
It’s another poor bird found bloody in the edge of a curb.

Cigarette lighter

Image
It’s disposable so it’s quite frequently found in various places and colours. This one is more unusual for the design aspect.

Anime V Real life

Image
Child’s experimental drawing. Although they’re ‘real life’ interpretation looks a little cartoon like. I would suggest they try to draw a person from actual real life. While on the reverse side the child had chosen his preferred style by the looks of things, here you go:

Poor pigeon

Image
Dead pigeon found in the middle of a road so it’s obvious how this poor thing died.

they missed this one!

Image
Found in Tesco car park next to a seating area. As it’s a very hot day the shopper who bought this had already started drinking the beverage and was probably waiting for a lift at the time; collected up all they’re bags but left this one behind.

Join the club?

Image
Found dropped in street towards the end of the school holidays so I think this is part of an end of term activity where the local Fire and Rescue service introduce their work to the younger generation. As always they have to make it attractive for the kiddies so they’ve bought on board Welephant who no doubt appeared on the day and issued all who took part in the activities with a well done certificate. If the kiddie who dropped theirs on their way home from school it’s probably because they rightly felt it wasn’t worth keeping as the said item wasn’t awarded to them personally so could belong to any child. To contain any merit at all it’s got to be owned; imagine gaining those hard working school exams and not having our name attached to the qualification it’s worthless; what would your employer say? Pretty smart kid who dropped this and he’s not started the big school yet.

Dead baby bird

Image
This one was found in the middle of the road; how it got there I don’t know as it can’t fly and birds aren't known to fly their young ones around the place, they stay put until they have gained their feathers ready to take their first plunge into the wilderness.

Dog in handbag

Image
Another grotesque pink cutie little girl toy: a dog in a bag. Not quite sure what to say other than that really. This didn’t remain here for very long so it would have been snapped up by another person or was reunited by it’s owner.

Dead squirrel

Image
A dead squirrel found on the edge of a curb so it must have been run over by a vehicle.

Dead Baby bird

Image
Found a dead baby bird that must have fallen from it’s nest.

Hand made banner

This is home made rock band banner for the rock band Wolfsbane.

Dog fouling: a thing of the past?

Image
We’ve come a long way since the time I came home from school; now over forty years ago, with dog mess in my hair after rolling innocently down a bank in the school playground. Firstly schools are now strictly fenced off from the public and secondly if your dog is caught fouling in a public place you’ll either have to pay a fine for £80 or this rises to a £1,000 if the case goes to court!  However there is no excuse for such anti social behaviour as now dog owners can purchase a role of dog poop bags; here’s one I’ve found today and it’s fully compostable so environmentally friendly. The only thing is I’ve not got a dog so I’ll be giving this find a good home!
