Reading

Image
A shopping list that a child’s used to sketch a Dragon. The child’s getting the character to read so he’s thinking of school as the summer holidays are now over otherwise the dragon would probably be basking on a beach or playing football or something like that.

A Tiny Black Fish

Image
Today I’ve had a bad day. While sitting here outside on a quiet part of the city I look down below and just about make out something. On closer inspection it is a tiny black fish, so camouflaged in it’s surroundings it’s amazing I could see it. Almost as if it’s sent from heaven to cheer me up. Thank you!

Yet another Dobble find

Image
Perhaps I may strike lucky and find a complete pack. However McDonald’s have since moved on to their next McDonald’s Happy Meal promotion toy.

Refill liquid for e-cigarette

Image
Totally unavailable when I went to investigate online so it must only be possible to purchase these either on the high street or on the dark web. This is simply a refill so totally useless without the e-cigarette known as the Elf Bar.

Seren’s stone

Image
This child's painted stone was left for someone to pick up and re-hide as that’s what people do with their painted stones round here. I’ve found several stones as recorded previously in this blog.

Dog bowl

Image
Dog friendly cafe’s leave bowls of water outside in extremely hot weather.

Sun hat

Image
While sightseeing outside this city’s cathedral I found this sun hat.

We’ve had a great summer holiday and now we’re back home shopping...

Image
Someone's left evidence of their summer holiday abroad in Turkey; a luggage strap from Parkim Ayaz Hotel. Looking online it looks and sounds quite simply glorious. Sun soaked with deep blue clouds etc. I’ll let this satisfied costumer continue: “... the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.  the food is satisfying , the place is huge and comfy. the views are amazing and the rooms are well- and so on; you get the picture!

Set of instructions

Image
This instruction leaflet describes a mathematical drawing device. It came out of one of those chocolate eggs where you break open and put it together yourself toys after you’ve stuffed the chocolate of coarse. Kinder Surprise are popular but I know this one isn’t as it’s not got their logo plastered all over it.

3 notelets

Image
These were found left on a bench. They deal with someone's past.

You're a star!

Image
Milana’s takeaway gift from her playgroup days is a keyring. In the 1970’s I received a Going to School reading book from the popular children's series of learning to read Lady Bird books. They’ve recently made a come back aimed at those children who used to read these books but have since grown up with titles such as The Husband or the Birthday hangover. Just as educational too!

Plastic chunk

Image
Supermarkets such as Tesco and Asda offer home delivery service these days which have become ever so popular and I suspect this plastic chunk came off one of these delivery crates.

The get fit shopping list

Image
This person’s planning to get fit over the summer judging from the fitness muscle busting supplements listed.

Packet of spongy what’s it’s.

Image
This pack of spongy odd bods on closer inspection contain the name Hasbro on the packet. Hasbro are an American multinational toy and game makers. This packet contains darts which are then loaded into a Nerf Elite 2.0 Echo CS-10, 4 in 1 Dart Blaster Toy for blasting at any suspecting victim; a must have for children this summer. Without this packet of cartridges your Nerf Elite weapon is useless. So some kid is going to be well disappointed when he gets home and finds their Nerf Elite cartridges missing. Though I am well impressed that kids are still up to playing outside and away from the addictive world of digital games.

another Dobble playing card...

Image
Some of the kids who’ve purchased their Happy Meals seem to like to chuck their Dobble cards around this city as I’m finding the odd dropped card, each pack contains different themes.

Spoons

Image
These spoons were found outside of a pub. Perhaps the person was angry because their food was bad although most people who weren’t happy with their purchase would go one stage further for example complain via the review site Trip Advisor. There’s alternative ways to get your own back on a place your not happy with though. Which I once chose to do when I was not happy with a meal I had at one cafe; this was before social media became popular. I wrote my concerns to the local paper; which interestingly has not survived no doubt owing to social media platforms being more popular ways to access information. At the same time I stole a spoon. The spoon was really special that was used in some of the independent cafe’s in this city proclaiming they were a Free Trade organisation; my souvenir.
