Field mouse

Poor mouse; you can see that a cat’s been at him as his tails been nibbled. Although I didn’t find it outside I suspect that our cat Merlot caught him as a thankful gift for feeding him. Although he's never done this before and there’s no way this could have climbed his way into the house via that cat flap.

However there’s also another cat belonging to a neighbour called Lucky, he’s often pinching Merlot’s food; we’ve chased Lucky out before now if we happen to find him munching away. Perhaps Lucky feels obliged to offer something in return hoping we won’t be so ready to chase him out in the future; who knows what cunning little cat’s dream up in order to get hold of some grub that doesn't belong to them.
